I’d like Consul to also convert Excel files (xls, xlsx) to other spreadsheet formats like CSV or Numbers

    This is now available in Consul 1.3.0. Excel files can be converted from and to other spreadsheet formats and document formats.

    The legacy XLS format is only supported for decoding (convert from XLS to other files), not as encoding (convert to XLS), while XLSX supports both. If someone has an use case for creating XLS files, feel free to put this in a separate feature request.
